Albert Couch

Albert Couch, age 81, of West Jefferson, Ohio, was born January 7, 1944, in Perry County, Kentucky, and died on September 20, 2025. Al retired from the Ohio Army National Guard after 22 years of faithful military service. He had previously served in the United States Army. Al is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Doris, and sons Kenneth A. (Catherine) Couch and Phillip A. (Kimberly) Couch. He leaves five of his favorite people, his grandchildren, Anna, Sam, Amanda, Mackenzie, and Veronica Couch, his sister Doris Daughtry, and his brother David (Debbie) Couch. He also leaves many nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Cora Couch, brothers: Billy, Lee, Claude, and Estill; sisters: Ethel, Evelyn, Edith, and Wanda. Al loved God, TV Westerns, playing poker with his friends, and teasing the neighborhood kids. The freezer was always full of ice cream to hand out. He will be missed.

Family will welcome friends from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2025, at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 (614)-879-1722, where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 1:00 p.m. MONDAY with Reverend Tim Ruesch, officiating. Al will be laid to rest at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson, Ohio.
