Ann Marie Crowley

On March 13, 2026, our family said goodbye to our beloved Ann, who was surrounded by the love of her family when she passed. Ann Marie (Devlin) Crowley lived a full and well-lived life. Born on June 5, 1943, Ann grew up in Arkport, New York and later served in the U.S. Navy, where she met her husband of 62years, John C. Crowley, Sr. They were married at the Great Lakes Navy Base Chapel and after leaving the service, they lived near Chicago for a time before settling in Ohio, where Ann went on to work for Ohio Bell for 27 years. The life Ann and John built together was filled with travel and cherished time with family and friends.

Ann, who was also known by the nickname “Mickey,” loved spending time outdoors and birdwatching, and was very artistic and creative as well. Her interests and hobbies included watercolor painting, photography, sewing, dollmaking, and spending time on the computer. Ann had a special way of making everyone in her life feel loved, appreciated, and cared for, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Irma (Benedict) Devlin. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, John C. Crowley, Sr.; her children and their spouses, John C. Crowley, Jr. (Angela Robinson) and Leigh Ann (Terry) Strominger; her grandchildren, Nick (Amanda) Strominger, Steven (Katherine) Strominger, David Strominger, and Jill (Trevor Pour) Strominger; and her great-granddaughter, Kaia Rose Strominger. She is also survived by her siblings, Margaret (Mike) McDevitt, Patricia (Bob) McCaffrey, and James (Shirley) Devlin, along with many dear nieces and nephews.

An interment service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Hampton Cemetery, 225 Cemetery Road, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162.

Ann’s kindness and warmth will be held dear in the hearts of many and remembered with love.

In lieu of flowers, Mickey had requested that donations be made in her or her family's name to the Madison County Humane Society.
