Annette E. Chapman

Annette Eileen Chapman, age 78, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was a cherished mother to her three daughters and a proud, deeply devoted grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was loving and caring for her children and grandchildren. Born to the late Paul and Violet Gardner, she was a graduate of West Jefferson High School.

In addition to her parents, Annette was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 24 years, Don Chapman. After the last 30 years being apart, their reunion is sure to be a beautiful one. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Paul Gardner and Thomas Gardner, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Annette is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Bonnie Gardner, her daughters: Melissa (William) Adkins, Kimberly (John Moore) Chapman, and Sarah (Kevin) Chapman; grandchildren: Joseph (Rebekah) Adkins, Zachary (Justice Crowe) Adkins, Matthew Chapman, Jacob (Zoe Lemaster) Chapman, Hannah Chapman, and Joyce Adkins; great-grandchildren: Daniel, Grayson, Nova Lee, Renesmee, William, Kayden, Emery, and Leo; sisters—in-law and brothers-in-law: Sheila Gardner, Trudie Gardner, Juanita (Ray) Martin, Betty (Darrell) Cordle, Lee Chapman, and Ed (Becky) Chapman; and many nieces and nephews.

As a dedicated homemaker, Annette spent her early years raising her three daughters and caring for her nieces, nephews, and extended family friends. In her later years, she lovingly helped raise her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She found joy in reading romance novels, tending to her outdoor garden beds, watching General Hospital, enjoying the Home & Garden Channel, reality TV, and listening to country music. She also had a special love for indoor plants and animals, who returned her love right back! Anyone who met her was instantly drawn to her warm smile and gentle spirit.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Ohio Health, Riverside Methodist Hospital, and Kobacker House, for their exceptional care and support during Annette’s final days.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2026 at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162, 614-879-9222 where her Funeral Service will follow the visitation hours and begin at 1:00p.m. FRIDAY. Annette will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Don at Plumwood Cemetery.
