Berlis Thornsberry

Berlis Thornsberry, age 83, of West Jefferson, Ohio, (formerly of Wheelwright, Kentucky), passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a proud veteran and retired from the US Army. He graduated from Franklin University receiving his Bachelors of Science degree. Berlis was a trainer and owner of thoroughbred horses, he loved fishing, boating, and Corvettes.

Berlis, is preceded in death by his parents, Landell and Dona Thornsberry; sister, Ruby Goble; and brothers, Earlis Thornsberry, and Carlie Thornsberry.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Thornsberry; daughters Angela (Ken) Taylor, Tina (Chris) Howell, Lisa (Bruce) Barron, and Danielle Erb; sisters, Phyllis (Dave) Baker, Mildred Richardson, and Melvaline Carvahlo; grandchildren, Amber, Ryan, Chad, Caleb, Kelle, Joshua, Jacob, and Georgiana; great-grandchildren, Ian, Evan, Christopher, and Raymond.

The family will receive friends on SUNDAY, March 19, 2023, from 12-2 PM, with Military Honors to follow at 2:00 PM, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN STREET, WEST JEFFERSON, OHIO, 43162.
