Carol Sue James Ross died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 19, 2022 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was only 73 years old. Carol is survived by her three children, Scott (Amber) Breedlove, Melanie Breedlove, Michelle Breedlove-Hiler; stepchildren, Cheryl (Don) Schantz, Christine Ross, Constance (Tina) Ross-King, Catharine (Dave) Terbush; siblings, Amy (Johnny) Rue, Ora “Cookie” (Andrew) Sharum, Bruce James; grandchildren, Anthony (Evie) Breedlove, Briannah Davis, Sarah Hiler, Tyler Mulford, Max Hiler, Abigail Breedlove; great-grandchildren, Norah Seaman, Asher Breedlove, Chaley Breedlove; and many loving and extended members of the James, Kincaid and Ross families. Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chick” Ross.
Carol was a strong Christian woman, who had a big heart and who always lent a helping hand. She volunteered for many years at various organizations and everyone was welcomed in her home. She was not only “mom” to her children but to many who knew her. Carol was also known for her exceptional baking skills and her love to entertain.
In keeping with Carol's final wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be at the New Life Fellowship Church at 19 S. Main St., London, OH 43140 on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carol's life. Condolences can be sent to RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME website at www.radermcdonaldtiddfuneralhome.com. An additional memorial service will be held at Camp Washington Carver to precede her interment at the family cemetery at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations made in Carol's honor to the Madison County Humane Society.
