Charles “Charlie” Louis Blake, age 76, of London, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and attended West Jefferson High School. He graduated with the class of 1968.
Charlie had a lifelong love for sports, especially THE Ohio State Buckeyes! In high school, he was a three-sport letter winner in football, basketball, and baseball, earning honorable mention at the state level as a freshman and sophomore. In addition to his athletic achievements, Charlie was an accomplished musician. He was honored by band director Mr. Rump with the prestigious John Philip Sousa Award for his trumpet playing—a recognition given to the top student in a high school band for superior musicianship and outstanding dedication.
Charlie and Becky attended the West Jefferson Bible Church.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald “Jerry” Blake and Willene Blake, and his daughter Teather Blake.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Blake; his brother Larry (Patricia) Blake; daughters Tangela (Michael) Duncan and Tammy Maynard; son Ty Blake; several grandchildren; nephew Dustin (Lauren) Blake; and niece Megan (Tyler) Anderson.
Family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. TUESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2026 at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation hours and begin at 1:00p.m. TUESDAY. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson, Ohio.
