Charles T. Harbage

Charles Thurman Harbage, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Doctors West Hospital. He was 93 years old. Charles was born on June 7, 1933. Charles was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1952. He was married to the late Connie Harbage for nearly 70 years before her passing in 2024. Charles is survived by his daughters: Terri Smith, Beth & Steve Scaggs, and Judy & Steve Heminger; his grandchildren: Charles and Morgan Smith, and Tammy and Jason George; his great-grandchildren: Dorothy, Geneiva and Sarah Smith, and Patrick George; his sister-in-law Fern Harbage. He was preceded in death by his parents, P.O. and Mildred Harbage, and his siblings Helen Lewis, Nancy Davidson, Carl Harbage, and Susie Tilley.

Dad loved farming, hunting, and fishing, and he enjoyed trap shooting at the Miami Valley Shooting Grounds in Vandalia, Ohio. Charles always enjoyed talking to his friends at McDonald’s each morning. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and shared many great memories and stories. Special thanks to Ohio Health Hospice.

Charles will be cremated, and his family will hold a Celebration of Life visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on THURSDAY, JULY 23, 2026, at RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162 (614)-879-9222.
