Charles Robert Ross “Chick” died peacefully at Doctor’s West Hospital on March 20, 2017 in
Columbus, Ohio at the age of 82.
Chick is survived by loving wife Carol Sue James-Ross; previous wife Carol Ann Irion-Ross; children Cheryl (Don) Schantz of Hilliard, OH, Christine Ross of Galloway, OH, Constance (Tina) Ross-King of Bellefontaine, OH, Catharine (Dave) Terbush of Castle Rock, CO; step-children Scott (Amber) Breedlove of W Jefferson, OH, Melanie Breedlove-Frew of Delaware, OH, Michelle Breedlove-Hiler of W Jefferson, OH; siblings Kenneth Ross of Blacklick, OH, Patricia Aukerman of Florida; many beloved nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Chick was born on November 26, 1934 in Columbus, OH. He was preceded in death by his father John W Ross, his mother Dorothy May Buzzard-Ross, and brothers: Jim, Garry, Ronnie, and John Jr.
He was a Navy veteran and proudly served in the Korean War, a life member of Disabled American Veterans and VFW post 7005 of West Jefferson, Ohio.
In keeping with Chick’s final wishes, he will be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be at New Life Fellowship Church at 19 S Main St, London, OH 43140 on Sunday March 26, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Interment with military honors at Deer Creek Twp Cemetery in Lafayette, OH at a future date. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chick’s life. The family would like to thank the VA Medical Services, OSU Wexner Medical Center, Doctor’s West Hospital, and New Life Fellowship Church for their efforts, care, and dedication.
