Charles R. Williams

Charlie Williams, 83 of West Jefferson, Ohio passed away on November 26, 2024. 

Charlie was born in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Becky (Halliday) and Charles Williams. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by death of his loving wife, Maxine Williams, and step-father, Bill Hawkes.

He is survived by daughter, Rhonda Miller of West Jefferson, Ohio. Daughter, Laurie Grega (John) of Powell, Ohio. Grandson, J.T. Grega and Joshua Grega (Ellie) as well as two great-grandsons, Owen and Sammy Grega. Brother-in-law, Mike Tyree (Debbie), and Brother-in-law, Ray Fuller.

Charlie attended West Jefferson High School and then enlisted into the United States Air Force where he obtained his GED. He was stationed in Topeka, KS where both of his daughters were born.

He loved many sports – watching and playing. He played basketball, softball, bowling, and golf, and golf was definitely his favorite. He also loved sharing old stories as well as showing off the picture of him and mom to those he met.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am – 12:00pm for family and friends on TUESDAY, December 10, 2024, the funeral service will follow visitation at 12:00pm with Pastor Ed Traverse officiating at the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 W. Main Street West Jefferson.
