Clifford C. Saul, age 72, died peacefully at home on January 1, 2016, after a long battle with diabetes and heart disease. He was a resident of London, Ohio since 1978. Cliff (aka Bub) was born January 2, 1943 at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio to Clifford G. Saul and Dolores Saul Broedel. He graduated from Grove City High School in 1960. Thereupon, he entered the U.S Air Force. He completed his basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas. He was stationed at Mountain Home AFB in Idaho, until his discharge in May of 1964. He returned to the Grove City area and was employed at Columbus Plastic Products as a press operator. He eventually went to work at The Ohio State University in 1967 as and electrician apprentice. He completed his career with Ohio State in 1990, when he retired from the Physical Facilities Department as an Assistant Director. Cliff was a member of the F.O.E. 950 in London, the London Kiwanis, and the American Legion. He was often involved with their charitable events and enjoyed working at the Farm Science Review for the Kiwanis group. Cliff is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlene Saul; a son Kevin (Heather) Saul of Powell, OH., granddaughter, Myka Stauffer (James) of Indianapolis, and 3 great-grandchildren. Also a sister, Sharon Farley of West Jefferson. Family will receive friends Monday January 4, 2016 from 3-7pm at the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 W. Main St. West Jefferson, OH. 43162; where a service will be held 11am Tuesday. Interment Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Loving Care Hospice, London, Ohio.
