Connalee Trein

Connalee (Connie) Trein, age 85, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026. She was born May 3, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio. Connie was a graduate of Columbus West High School, Class of 1958. She was a West High School Rope Twirler known as the Cowgirls. In 1968, she married the love of her life, Larry Trein (Earp). She always had a strong entrepreneurial spirit, starting many businesses, including home health, a Bait & Tackle Shop, and a Victorian Lady Tanning Salon. She loved gambling and cruises; she preferred them together. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters to a variety of places. Connie enjoyed traveling, but what she loved most of all was spending time with her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Larry Trein; her mother, Florence Chapman; her grandparents, Frank and Jessie Curby; and many aunts and uncles.

Conne is survived by her children: Lane Trein. Connie Trein (Melissa), Shawn Trein (Twila); sisters: Nancy Snider, Jean Crowe; grandchildren: Chad, Brad (Amanda), Matt (Emily) and Tyler (Brittany) Trein; and Great Grandchildren: Peyton, Hunter (Bubby), Lilly and Karson Trein; many other nieces and nephews, and her favorite cruising buddy niece Terry Phillips. Connie was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for friends and family will be held from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, on TUESDAY, March 31, 2026, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio, 43162.
