Della Virginia Holland

On the evening of June 10, 2025, Della Virginia Holland passed away peacefully at the age of 88.

A lifelong resident of West Jefferson, Ohio, Della was born and raised in the community she dearly loved. She married her high school sweetheart, David Holland, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2021. Della and Dave raised five children—Cindy, Debbie, Terry, John, and Steve.

Della was the proud owner of Della’s Beauty Shop and remained deeply involved in her community, schools, and church. She loved watching the Buckeyes and was an avid sports fan. She was also athletic herself and enjoyed playing softball and volleyball, and often sponsored local teams through her business.

Family was the heart of Della’s world. She especially cherished visits from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Della also enjoyed coffee and lunch dates with her many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, her beloved husband David, and her son John.

She is survived by her daughters Cindy, Debbie, and Terry; her son Steve; and a large, loving family of 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Della will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

As per her wishes, no public memorial service will be held. A private family burial will take place at Hampton Cemetery in West Jefferson.
