Donald Francis Closson

Donald Frances Closson, born June 11, 1947, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. 

He was preceded in death by parents George and Frances Closson; siblings: David Closson and Diane Ferguson; son: Joseph Closson; and granddaughter: Taylor Rae Weber. 

Don is survived by daughter Dawnyale (Dave) Weber; son: Dennis (Cassie) Closson; several grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. 

He graduated from Central High School in 1966. Donald was a mechanic and worked on his 1st car at 15 years old, it was a 1955 Chevrolet that cost him $50. He was a proud Army Veteran and Military Police Officer from 1966- 1968. After the Service, he went to George Buyers Chevrolet as a top dollar mechanic, transmission man, and differential man. He did a little of everything. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, horseshoes, pool, bar hopping and fighter. Don and his ex-wife Donna became best friends. We had lots of cookouts and spent holidays together with the kids. 

Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Don’s residence.
