Dorreen Marie (Lynch) Snell

Dorreen Marie Snell (Lynch) of West Jefferson, OH passed away July 31, 2025 at Bluebird Retirement Community in Marysville, OH. She was born November 11, 1946 in Columbus, OH to Minnie Jean (Rogers) and Edward Lynch. Dorreen is survived by her son Jamie Snell (fiancé, Jennifer), her two granddaughters Hannah Sullivan (Cory) and Emma Snell, her brother Rodger Lynch (Sarah), numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James “Jim” Ray Snell.

Dorreen was a long-time member of the West Jefferson Bible Church. She retired from the West Jefferson Public Service Department’s Water Department Office and also worked as a beautician for several years and for Cardinal Foods as a data entry clerk.

She enjoyed watching her husband’s bands play, attending CAPA productions, musicals, and plays, and spending time with her granddaughters. Her ardor for the silver screen and for sewing helped instill her son with a lifelong passion for cinema and cosplay. She took great joy encouraging his passion for the visual and performing arts, and her skills as a beautician inspired her granddaughter to pursue a similar career path.

We will have a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the West Jefferson Bible Church 155 South St., West Jefferson, OH 43162.
