Frank Baker Barton passed away on May 19th surrounded by family after a strong 5-month battle with lung cancer at the age of 68. Frank graduated from Eastmoor High School in 1972 and shortly after that joined the Navy for 8 years. He retired from the USPS in 2014.
Frank loved riding his Harley and completed across 42 out of the 50 states on amazing road trips with family and friends. He was loved by everyone that were privileged to get to know him. He was very well known as “Frank the Tank” and will be missed. He was an avid OSU and Cleveland Browns fan (please feel free to wear that attire if you would like).
He is preceded in death by his parents Margaret (Nan) Richards and Francis Melford Barton and his beloved brother Russell Barton.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Debbie Barton and five children Tina Barton, Zach Farrand (Randi), Kristin Farrand (Joey), Kim Barton (Brooke) and Jamie Barton (Jeremy). He was also a proud grandfather of his 8 grandchildren.
A gathering will be held at the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio, 43162, on Friday May 26th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
