Fred R. Chesser

Fred R. Chesser, age 62, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.  Born in Columbus to the late Byron and Barbara Chesser, Fred was a graduate of Madison Plains High School, Class of 1976.  He was a retired Corrections Officer at the Madison Correctional Center (MACI) and retired after many years of service.  Fred enjoyed fishing and golfing and loved being at home with his wife and fur-babies Chase and Sebastian.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two older sisters Debbie and Diana.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Jodi Chesser, his sister-in-law Karen (Phil) Wamsley, his best friend and “brother” Frank Penwell and his wife Marilyn, his two younger sisters Denise and Donna, aunt Peg, numerous cousins, and many friends.  Family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-12:00p.m. FRIDAY, JANUARY 29, 2021 at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 12:00 NOON FRIDAY.  Burial will follow the service at Deer Creek Cemetery, Lafayette, Ohio.  Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Social Distancing will be observed at all times and Facial Coverings are required at the Funeral Home and at the Cemetery.  Please visit www.radermcdonaldtiddfuneralhome.com to share your favorite memories of Fred or to send your condolences to his family.
