Garland Robinson

Garland E. Robinson, 92, of London, was called home to be with his Lord on Tuesday August 18, 2015. Garland was preceded in death by his wife, of 63 years, Arline; parents Charles B. and Janie Robinson; brothers Bobbie Bradford Robinson and Charles E. Robinson; and stepson Terry Hughes. He was survived by his son Garry (Teresa) Robinson of Marysville, stepson Chester (Kathy) Griffith of Amarillo, TX; daughters Peggy Lambert of London, Patricia (Dennis) Bain of Leesburg, FL, Cheryl (Bob Downing) Robinson of West Jefferson, and Jo Hileman of London; 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Garland served his country in the Army during WWII in the Philippines and in Japan. He retired from General Motors in Columbus. He was a long time member of the First Apostolic Church of Dublin and in his later years a faithful member of the Apostolic Gospel Church of London. Family will receive friends Thursday August 20, 5-8pm at RADER- MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St West Jefferson; where a funeral service will be held at 11am Friday. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery 6959 W. Broad St. Galloway.
