Grace Irene Byerly

Grace Myers Byerly, born June 7, 1931, of West Jefferson, OH, and Floral City, FL, passed away on May 17, 2026. She is survived by daughter Karla Gilbert (Mike), son Harold Byerly II (Cheryl), and brother Jim Myers (Virginia). Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Harold Byerly; sisters Rachelbelle, Helen, and Rosie; and brothers Robert and Pat. She was blessed to have many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As a young mother, she was very involved, she was a class mother, Cub Scout, and Brownie leader. She continued volunteering throughout her entire life. She was recognized by Governor Rhodes for volunteering over 10,000 hours at the VA hospital in Chillicothe. She also volunteered at several senior programs in London. She and her husband spent 25 winters in Florida, where she was recognized for volunteering with seniors and hospital patients. She was a Christian lady from an early age, attending church in West Jefferson, Inverness, Florida, and most recently North West Bible Church, Hilliard, OH. A celebration of life will be held at RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, between 10 am -12 pm.
