Harley Alan Yates

Harley Alan Yates, age 73, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 27, 2026. Harley graduated from Russell High School in Russell, Kentucky, Class of 1971. Harley retired with 25 years of service from Honda of America. He enjoyed camping, golfing, and spending time with family, especially attending the grandkids' soccer games, volleyball matches, baseball games, and track meets.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Grace (Baker) Yates; brothers: Raymond Patrick Yates, and Denver Dee Yates; sisters: Helen Mae Wright, Hilda Russell, and Bonnie Sue Salyers; father-in-law: Robert Witten; and brother-in-law: Robert Witten, Jr.

Harley is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty (Witten) Yates; mother-in-law: Julia Elizabeth Witten Davis; daughter: Christie (Christopher) Evans of Rocky River, Ohio; brothers: Perry Yates, William (Erin) Wright; sisters: Diana Lee (Buck) McGraw, Brenda Kay Conley, Kathy Ellen Henry, all of Flatwoods, Kentucky; brother-in-law: Gary Salyers; and sister-in-law: Kathy Witten; grandchildren Madison and Morgan Kaylor, Claudia and Warren Evans, special nephews: Rich (Tanya) Russell, Rob Witten, and niece, Mary Beth Kaylor, and many loving relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 11:00am-1:00pm, with the Funeral Service immediately following at 1:00pm, with Pastor Rodney Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson, Ohio.
