Isaiah William Adkins "Zay Wayyy"

March 30, 2002 — August 20, 2025

West Jefferson

Isaiah William Adkins was suddenly called home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2025, at the young age of 23. Isaiah was known for his love of music, where he went by Zay Wayyy. You would know when he was around when you would hear people saying “ZAY WAY” as soon as they saw him! He loved making music, dreaming of the big stages he would one day be on, and he was determined to make it happen.

Born on March 30, 2002, he was the beloved son of Amanda Adkins, best big brother to Isaac Adkins, Neo, and Ivory Redd. He was the first Grandson of Tim and Lisa Davis. Nephew of Natasha and Buddy Redd, cousin to Jaden Davis, Braden Collins, Faith, and Little Buddy Redd. His honorary family Tariah, Sharda, Anthony, Victoria, and Victor Parks. He was the son of Shawn Horton, Brother to Dashawn, Kashawna Horton, and Nariah Miles. His paternal Grandmother Terry Horton, and Grandfather Donell Freeman. With many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who he loved dearly.

Isaiah was a 2021 West Jefferson High School Graduate. He was known as the smiling face at the Family Dollar where he enjoyed working, he had been traveling with a security company, following his dreams, working music concerts, sporting events, and making many friends along the way.

He was always doodling and enjoyed drawing, handing them out as gifts at an early age to his closest family and friends. Isaiah loved spending time with his family whenever he could. Zay was an adamant sports fan, you could find him at any of his siblings, or cousins sporting events as he was their biggest fan, even coaching his brother in basketball for multiple years. He played football, basketball, and baseball as a young boy where you would find his entire family cheering him on. More recently you could find him throwing darts in his free time with his friends.

Those who knew Zay will remember how contagious his smile and laugh was, and his unmatched loyalty to his family and friends. We know that his spirit will show through in music, faith, and love in all that we do. May his memory continue to uplift you, make you smile, laugh, and cry in all aspects of life. Isaiah was met in heaven by his Great-Granny Merle Adkins and Grandfather John William Adkins, his Great-Grandparents Kramer Davis, Patty Davis, and Mabel Davis. His Great Grandmother Judy Hunt, Great Aunt Mary, and Uncle Korey Gordon.

The family will receive friends at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, Ohio, 43162, on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, from 3-5pm, with the Funeral Service starting at 5 pm officiated by George Grice.
