Jack Leon Kronk, 82, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 at 8:00am.
He was born April 28, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Alfred Jackson Kronk and Edna Fern (DeLashmutt) Kronk.
Leon was born at the White Cross Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio. He lived in Alton, Ohio, until 6th grade, when he moved to the McKell Farm on Little Darby Creek Rd. He graduated from Monroe High School and entered the Armed Services, Army branch. On June 7, 1955, he married the love of his life, Marcella Lucille Underhill. Together, they raised their 3 children on the Murray Farm, West Jefferson, Ohio and resided there for over 20 years.
Leon farmed for many years. Later, known as Jack, he became a bus driver/Transportation Supervisor and Custodian/Custodian Supervisor for Jefferson Local Schools, until he retired. He enjoyed his time at his cottage on Grindstone Lake, in Plevna, Ontario, Canada, especially when his kids and grandkids came with him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Marcella Lucille (Underhill) Kronk.
He is survived by his sister Eileen (Bill) Conway of London, Ohio; son, Timothy Leon (Traci) Kronk, of Plain City, Ohio; daughter, M. Colleen (Martin) Trimmer, of Pawley’s Island, South Carolina and daughter, Jennifer (John) Napier, of West Jefferson, Ohio. Grandchildren, Ty (Tracy) Kronk, Elizabeth (Tom) Kuebler, Marcy (Billy) Hawkins, Kelli (Matt) Baker, Jack (Jill) Kronk, Katie (Brian) Barr, Alex Kronk, Lauryn Kronk, Lucas Napier and Logan Napier. Great-grandchildren Mary, Benjamin, Jacob and Grace Kronk; Thomas, Kristin, Timothy and Kacy Kuebler; William, Samuel, Addison and Ashley Hawkins; Molly, Anna, Nicholas and Lucy Baker; Alexis Kronk; and Tyson and Landon Barr.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 10, 4:00-7:00pm at Rader McDonald Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio.
Service will be held Friday, March 11, 11:00am at Rader McDonald Tidd Funeral Home.
