Jacqueline R. Green, age 78, of West Jefferson, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, May 19, 2022 surrounded by her children. Jackie will be remembered most as a devoted mother and grandmother who was so proud of her large family and loved spending time with them. Jackie was born in July, 1943 and raised in Dayton, Ohio by her loving grandparents Roy and Belva. She grew up attending the Salvation Army Church where she received so much joy volunteering at their summer camp every year. She attended Roosevelt High School and went to be a school bus driver in Fairborn and Dayton for many years. She often shared stories from her driving days of unruly kids to garage hangouts with her bus friends. Jackie had six children who she loved more than anything. Camping at Rocky Fork Lake and going to Aunt Dorothy’s are some of their fondest memories with her. Jackie was most proud of her large family which includes 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She always wanted her family to be together and the kids grew up going out to Grandma Green’s house to swim. At the young age of 44, Jackie became paralyzed. She never let this stop her from doing what she wanted within the 35 years she was in a wheelchair. She traveled to other countries, parasailed and went on many vacations with her family. There wasn’t a grandkids’ foot she didn’t run over in her wheelchair. Jackie led a very active life. Some of her favorite hobbies included crocheting, knitting, ceramics and puzzles. She could always be found outside working in her flower beds and gardening. She loved square dancing and bowling, but her favorite activity of all was shopping. She was preceded in death by husband Richard Green, mother Betty, grandmother Belva, grandfather Roy, and siblings April McCain, David Singleton and James Coleman.
She is survived by her children: Kim Tipton, Tammy (Mike) Whisler, Ed (Sheri) Tipton, Gail (Mike) Ditello, Jan (Mark) Seimer, Cindi (Kenny) Sims, her grandchildren: Tony (Melissa), Brian (Aubrey), Karrie, Brandi, Megan (Tommy), Ashley (Chris), Amanda (Nels), Andrea (Mike), Lauren (Logan), Heather (Jake), Samantha, Marty (Amanda), Chris (Molly), Danielle (Brett), Kelsey, Kyle, Matthew, Scott, Justin, Haley Jae, Kennison, Morgan, Parker, her great-grandchildren: Austin, Nash, Ben, Nevaeh, Kylie, Aurora, Taylor, Ayden, Noah, Sydney, Ian, Logan, Ethan, Blake, Madi, Charlie, Jayden, Jazlyn, Alaana, Avery, Carter, Remy, Kailyn, Kyson, Harper, Hadlee, Braden, Beckett, Averey, Baylor, Brystol, Addison, Liam, Hayley, Kaydence, Makenzie, Hayden, her former spouse and father of her children, Ed Tipton, her siblings Karen Middleton and Ruth Ann Reed and her beloved friends Sherma Winchester and Gettis Hess.
