James Alban

“BUCKEYE”, James Ellis Alban, 81, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at his home in West Jefferson. Born on October 1, 1943, to the late Bud Alban, and Jackie Alban. The love of his life Patricia Alban wife of 59 years will miss her beloved Buckeye. Also preceded by sister Delores Kessler and granddaughter Brianna Dye. Owner with brothers Jeff and Roger, of Alban Equipment Co. He married at 21 and worked hard to support his wife and 3 children. Survived by his brothers Jeff Alban (Lucy), Roger Alban, daughter, Deborah Dye; sons, Andy Alban (Mary), Bud Alban; 8 grandchildren Troy Dye, Jordan Dible ( husband John), Jamie Dye, Madison Brady her daughter Maliya Ellis, Nick Froggatt (wife Christina) daughter Penelope, Elizabeth Alban and Lexie Alban. He will be sadly and greatly missed by his family and friends. Family will receive friends from 1pm- 2pm Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, Ohio 43162.  A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Sunset Cemetery 6959 W. Broad St. Galloway OH. 43119.
