James Franklin Butler, age 84, of West Jefferson, Ohio, was welcomed into heaven on Monday, January 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. James was a proud Navy veteran. He retired in 2002, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his wife and family.
James is preceded in death by his wife, Linda L. Butler, his parents America and Curtis Butler, and sister Donna Owens.
He is survived by his children: Karen Renee (Tom) Butler, and Teresa J. Butler; brother Mitchell (Diana) Butler, sister Sharon Piper; grandchildren: Jessica Meyerhofer, Chelsea Butler, Leah McCarter, Erica (Isaac) Morgan, Christian Krusemark, Adam Krusemark, Philip (Beth) Krusemark, and Brian (Ashley) Krusemark; great-grandchildren: Jamea, Blake, Maddie, Spencer, Chase, Kellen, Conner, Emily, Keegan, and Khloe; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Following the family’s wishes, there will not be a public viewing.
