It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean-Maurice Pagé. He was born on December 19th, 1949, and passed away peacefully at home on November 23rd, 2025, surrounded by his family in Columbus, OH.
Jean-Maurice is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Michèle; his children, Maurice-Pierre (Tiffany), Alexandre (Charlotte), Marie-Josée (Chris), Andrée-Anne (Steve), and Jean-Michel; and his twelve cherished grandchildren: Taylor and Lucien, children of Maurice-Pierre and Tiffany; Alexa and Fitz, children of Alexandre and Charlotte; Hudson, Landon, Hadley, and Greyson, children of Andrée-Anne and Steve; and Peyton, Keaton, Jaxson, and Paxton, children of Marie-Josée and Chris. He also leaves behind two sisters and one brother, as well as two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Rita Pagé.
Jean-Maurice graduated from the University of Montréal with a Doctorate of Medicine and went on to become an Orthopedic Surgeon with a fellowship in hand surgery. He completed a master’s degree in education at the University of Chicago and became a professor at the University of Montréal College of Medicine. He was an attending for the orthopedic residents and the president of the hospital’s ethics committee. He helped many throughout his 44-year career working in Montréal, Canada, and London, KY. He married his beloved wife, Michèle, in 1975, and together they raised five children, Maurice-Pierre, Alexandre, Marie-Josée, Andrée-Anne, and Jean-Michel.
Jean-Maurice was known for his hard-working nature, his constant thirst for knowledge and adventure, his love for his wife, and commitment to his family. Jean-Maurice was a master scuba-diver, a sailor, a skier, an airplane pilot, a hockey player, and an avid explorer. He was an incredible advisor, mentor, and teacher. He created endless opportunities for those around him. He was a committed church member and an exemplary member of his community.
Visitation hours will be held on SATURDAY, December 20th, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 12:00pm at St Simon and Jude Catholic Church 9350 High Free Pike, West Jefferson, OH, 43162.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Lewy-Body Dementia Association in Jean-Maurice’s memory.
Jean-Maurice’s kindness, generosity, hard work, mentorship, and love for his family will always be remembered by those who knew him. He was an extraordinary person who left his mark on so many. We are whole-heartedly grateful for the time we had with him and the memories we will carry in our hearts and minds forever.
