Jerome Curry

Jerome Curry, age 82, of West Jefferson, Ohio, joined his beloved wife in Heaven on Thursday, March 24, 2022 while at Kemper House in Worthington.  Born in Mingo County, WV to the late Lem and Irene Curry, Jerome graduated from Matewan High School.  He married the love of his life, Brookie Curry, in 1962 and together raised their family in West Jefferson.  In addition to his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by his wife Brookie, who passed in December, 2021, his sister Nancy Jane Deckard and his brothers Jim Curry, Keith Blankenship, Bruce Blankenship and Frank Blankenship.  Jerome is survived by his sons J.C. (Susan) Curry and Scott (Robyn) Curry, his grandchildren Jessica (Matthew) Click, Rylie (Brandon) Herren and Addison Curry, his great-grandchildren River Click, Braelon Herron, Juellz Herren and Kayne Herren, brothers and sister Arville Curry, Ronnie (Brenda) Curry, Denvil (Roberta) Curry, Dorothy Justice, Pat (Teresa) Blankenship, Michael (Sherry) Blankenship, the many other loving members of the Curry, Blankenship and Davis Families and by his many, many friends.  Jerome was a family man who supported his sons in all of their endeavors.  He loved to play poker, loved fishing, enjoyed working on cars and anything mechanical and loved to play golf.  The sparkle in Jerome’s eyes was for his wonderful wife and his three beautiful granddaughters!  Despite all of his hobbies, his favorite activity was spending time with his family. 

Visitation will be held 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30, 2022 at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 (614)-879-9222 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation hours and begin at 12:00p.m. WEDNESDAY.  Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson.  If they choose, friends are asked to consider a memorial contribution in Jerome’s honor be made to Kemper House where Jerome was a resident and where he received such wonderful care in his final months.  Donations may be directed to: Kenney Family Foundation, c/o Kemper House, 800 Proprietor’s Road, Worthington, OH 43085 or online at www.KemperHouse.com.
