Linda Pepple Grooms

Linda Pepple Grooms went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2025. Linda is survived by her husband of 48 years Dennis Grooms, her caregiver, her rock, and the love of her life; son Michael (Jane) Gray and daughter Suzanne (Kevin) Van Bibber, grandchildren Shelby Campbell, Samantha Thomas, Kristen (Cameron) Papandria, Kyle (Olivia) Gray, Logan Van Bibber and Lyrical Van Bibber, and great-grandson Kieran Campbell. She was preceded in death by son Stevie Grooms, parents Howard and Esther Pepple and brother Danny Pepple. She is also survived by sisters Debbie (George) Schumacher and Maryanne (Craig) Smith, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews.

After the loss of her son Stevie, Linda returned to school to become a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse. She was employed by Nationwide Children’s Hospital for 37 years, where she was known as “Granny Grooms” and a published author of pediatric research. She cared for hundreds of children and kept in touch with their families over the years. She and Dennis were camp counselors at the Hematology/Oncology Summer Camp for Kids as well as Infusion Weekend where they taught children and their caregivers critical care and positive support techniques.

Linda was a hero to many, but most of all a loving and devoted wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and cousin. We will forever miss her silly giggle, that she couldn’t say grace at Thanksgiving without crying, her love of Christmas, her massive Easter egg hunts, her Mickey Mouse pancakes, and the way she loved us all.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W.Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio. Visitation will be 10am-12pm, with Funeral Service at 12pm. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio. The family requests in lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association in Linda’s memory.
