Madglene Knox

Madglene Knox, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.  She was born on September 23, 1936, to the late Clyde Puckett and Violet Day.

Madglene, also known to many as the "Pie Lady", enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and friends.  When she wasn't doing that, she was probably somewhere making the best pie ever! So good, that it won her multiple ribbons at the Ohio State Fair. She also baked for farm market and enjoyed reading a good book in her extra free time.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Kenneth Knox and her sons, Phillip and Jamie Knox.

Madglene is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Ron) Poplin and Penny (Brian) Dempsey, her brother, James Puckett, sister, Delores VanDyke, grandchildren, Ryan and Justin Poplin, Sarah Knox, Keith Urbanik, Erica Knox, Aaron Knox and Natalie Knox, as well as 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love her... and try her pie!

The family invites family and friends to a visitation and funeral service on Monday, June 2nd, at the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 W. Main Street, W. Jefferson, Ohio, 43162. The visitation will begin at 10:00am and end at 11:00am for the funeral service to follow immediately after at 11:00am.  Following the funeral service we will go in procession to Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
