Marion "Butch" Oliver Roaden

Marion (Butch) Oliver Roaden, Age 73 of Galloway, Ohio passed away at home surrounded by his loving wife and two sons on the evening of July 5th, 2022. Butch was born on September 26th, 1947 in Corbin, Kentucky to Francis (Bud) and Gwendolyn Roaden.

Butch graduated from Fairfield High School in 1965 and then was drafted into the U.S. Army. After returning Butch married Charlotte Ann Reed of Fairfield, Ohio on June 24th, 1967. Butch worked his entire career for Sutherland Lumber and retired after 48 years in 2013. After retirement, Butch enjoyed working on many projects to include the restoration of several farm tractors. At least once a week you could find him and his wife at their favorite fishing hole.

Butch is survived by his loving wife Charlotte Ann, his two sons Matthew (Christine) Roaden, Chad (Casey) Roaden; his six grandchildren, Jillian, Kyle (Amber), Gretchen, Kinley, Kalie, Keily; his great grandson Isaac; his three siblings, Chester Roaden, Francis Yauger, Charlotte Burkhart and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Our Celebration of Life for Butch is being hosted by RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN STREET, WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162, (614) 879-9222, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pastor Randy Barr will be officiating on behalf of the family.

Following the celebration, we plan to meet at the Deer Creek Cemetery for a brief burial service where Butch’s ashes will be laid to rest. Immediately after the service, all are invited to join the family in celebration of Butch’s life at the home of Matthew and Christine Roaden. Food and refreshments will be served.
