Mary E. Crates

Mary Woods Crates, age 94, passed away December 17, 2016 at the Mt. Carmel West Hospital. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Marion and granddaughter Rebecca (Daniel) Oberting. Mary is survived by her loving family including daughters Patricia (Michael) Love, MaryEllen (Michael) Chirdon, Carolyn (Douglas) Jauch and Cynthia (David) Kuhns; Grandchildren: Michael Love, Melissa (Rob) Hite, Michelle (Sean) Carlson, Stephanie (Greg) Baldwin, Kimberly Jauch, Christine Jauch ,Aaron (Melanie) Kuhns, Mallory(Jason) Kuhns and 11 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. James Lutheran Church, 5660 Trabue Rd. Columbus, OH 43228 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. where funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor John Hood, officiating. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Jefferson Library. Mary's family would like to thank the staff of First Community Village for their compassion and care during Mary's final years.
