Millard C. Lykins

Millard Lykins, age 91, of West Jefferson, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2017. Born in 1925 in Magoffin County, KY to the late J.P. and Ora (Harper) Lykins. He married Evalene Allen in 1946. She preceded him in death in 2007. He is also preceded in death by his sisters Hattie Howard, Grace Childers, Daisy Gray, Eliza Reed, Virgie Reed and Jewell Williams and his brothers Dona Lykins and Hager Lykins. Millard is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Millard retired from General Maintenance in Columbus. He was baptized April 11, 1983 and joined Morgan Fork Church. He moved to West Jefferson in January, 1998 and brought his letter to Alder Chapel Church. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00p.m. TUESDAY at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00a.m. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2017 at ALDER CHAPEL UNITED BAPTIST CHURCH, 8320 Morgan Road, West Jefferson, OH 43162 where family will receive friends before the service from 10:00-11:00am. Pastor Charles Smith and Elder Arvil Murray, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery in West Jefferson.
