Nellie L. Elkins

Nellie L. Hall Elkins, West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on September 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jackson Ohio, on February 15, 1945 to the late Alton and Mamie Hall.  Nellie was a school bus driver for the Jefferson local school district in the late 70s and early 80s.  She was very devoted to the all kids and loved driving, especially for extra curricular activities. She supported the West Jeff Youth Athletic Association for many years by coaching and serving on the board.  Nellie was also a member of the American Legion  Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the VFW post 7005. Nellie was known for her amazing dedication to her flower garden. She is preceded in death by her husband Adrian Elkins Jr., daughter (sister) Kimberly Jenkins, sister Beverly K Hahn, brothers George Hall, Billy Hall, and  Deanie Hall and Great grandson Grayson King.  She is survived by her sister Vicky Garza and brothers Charlie Hall, her children Steve (Chris) Elkins and Angie (Mike) Carpenter. After the death of her mother, Nellie raised her remaining siblings as her own children, Debbie Jenkins, Willie Jenkins, and Teresa King (Kenny Hunter), Missy Pritchard. Grandchildren Kaitlin (Colin)DeSpain, Tyler (Darby) Thornton, Jimmy Davis, Justin King, Jennifer King, Sarah (Miller III) Fulton, Seth King, Don (Kate) Liles, Ricky Allen, Skylar Allen, and Zach Allen.  Great grandchildren Leighton DeSpain, Adrian Davis, Gabbie King, Ashley Reynolds, Jazlyon Gordon, Khloe Gordon, MJ Fulton, Kamrie Fulton,  and numerous nieces and nephews.  A special thank you to Phyllis Cox, Tracy (Bob) Boyer and Joe Boyer for their unwavering love and friendship, you are part of our family

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021  from 11 am to 1 pm with Funeral Services will follow visitation at 1:00 P.M., at the Radar McDonald Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, OH, 43162.  Graveside services to follow at Hampton Cemetery.
