Norma Jean Barton, 86, born September 2, 1935, in Louisa, Ky, died in Doctors Hospital December 30, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Grump) Barton; father, George Kitchen; mother, Elizabeth Wells; brothers Clarence, Russell, and Jeff; sister, Juanita. She is survived by children Vickey (David) Wentzel, Bob (Pam) Barton, Mike (Marsha) Barton; grandchildren Seth (Trisha) Wentzel, Josh (Elizabeth) Barton, Matt (Laura) Wentzel, Jason (Jessica) Barton, and Jillian Barton; great-grandchildren Natalie, Zoe, Eli, Miles, and Bowen Wentzel; and Jaxson, Joshua, Adele, Jocelyn, and Rose Barton; brother, George Jr.; sister, Virginia; special niece, Kay Conley; and special nephew, Todd Kitchen; special friend, Pat Rice. Norma was a member of the West Jefferson Firebells. She retired as a pipecutter from Capital Manufacturing. Norma liked to feed everyone. Not surprisingly, her favorite job was waitressing at a variety of restaurants for over 40 years including George’s Drive-In and Lincoln Lodge. She loved her family and grand dogs, Rags and Woody. She will be sorely missed. We love you Ma-Maw! Calling hours will be held at the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 W. Main, West Jefferson, Oh 43162, on Thursday, January 6, 2021, from 4-7 pm; Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2021, at 11 am followed by interment at Hampton Cemetery.
