Owen Ray Miller

Owen Ray Miller, age 86, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018.  Owen "O", was born to Everett & Laura Miller August 2, 1932 in Miller, OH.  After graduating high school in 1950, he joined the United States Army.  He married his wife Virginia "Gin" in February, 1969.  They lived in West Jefferson, OH and raised five children.  Owen was preceded in death by his father Everett, mother Laura, brother Norman and sister Evelyn.  He is survived by his loving wife Virginia "Gin" Miller, his five children: Owen Miller, Regina Miller, Ramona (David) Mullet, Dan (Cathy) Miller and David (Lisa) Miller, his six grandchildren:  Owen "O-E", Alexandria, Christina (Justin) Madden, Hannah, Dylan and Brooke, several nieces and nephews and many friends.  Owen was a "jack of all trades."  He was a mailman, Coca-Cola delivery driver, radio disc jockey, Westinghouse assembly worker, carpenter, maintenance man, insurance salesman, built fire trucks for the Sutphen Corporation and finally retired as an auto worker for Honda of America in 2003.  Owen was also a musician who used the stage name: Roy Price.  He performed on television, radio, every bar and honky-tonk from Virginia to Ohio, including performing at the 1970 Ox Roast in West Jeff..  Roy Price and the Moonlighters were a country music staple in the Central Ohio area for many years.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8p.m. WEDNESDAY at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 (614)-879-9222 where his Funeral Services will be held 11:00a.m. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2018 with Pastors Anthony Broadley, Mike Underhill and Edward Rodgers, officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.  If they choose, friends may make memorial contributions to: Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675-8517 or on-line: www.woundedwarriorproject.org.  Please visit www.radermcdonaldtiddfuneralhome.com to share your favorite memories of Owen or to send your condolences to his family.
