Patricia Jean Forrest, born February 15, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on October 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia will be remembered as a woman whose heart was rooted in faith, family, and the farm she loved so dearly. She loved being a farmer’s wife, and the life she built there was near and dear to her heart. Some of her happiest moments were found in the everyday blessings of home: cooking and baking for family and friends, paging through cookbooks in search of new recipes to try, and making each birthday feel unforgettable. She had a special way of celebrating those she loved, preparing a favorite meal on their birthday and serving it on a special birthday plate so that each person felt honored and cherished. She also enjoyed evening walks along the Little Darby Creek on the farm, a place that brought her peace and joy. Her love of life shone especially brightly in the way she treasured her grandbabies.
Along with her devotion to home and family, Patricia was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She worked for West Jefferson Concrete for 10 years and later retired from Anderson Concrete Company after 34 years in the concrete business. Her steady commitment and strong work ethic were part of the example she set throughout her life.
Patricia also had a tender heart for animals. She loved all animals, especially dogs and the many cats she cared for over the years. Her kindness extended naturally to the world around her, and that gentle spirit was felt by those who knew her well.
Her faith was an enduring part of her life. Patricia was a member of West Jefferson United Methodist Church for more than 70 years, and that long and faithful connection reflected the constancy and devotion that marked her life.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Forrest and his wife Diane; David Forrest and his wife Vickie; and Mark Forrest and his wife Sally, as well as 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who were the light of her heart.
In the family she loved so deeply, Patricia leaves behind a legacy of warmth, care, and traditions that will continue to be treasured around many tables and in many hearts. The meals she prepared, the birthdays she made special, the evening walks she took along Little Darby Creek on the farm, and the love she gave so freely will remain lasting gifts to those who were blessed to call her mother and family.
Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert; her father, John King; her mother, Delphia King; her brother, Johnny; and her sisters, Virginia, Connie, and Bernice.
Patricia Jean Forrest will be remembered with love and gratitude for the beautiful, steady life she lived and for the comfort, joy, and devotion she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in the home she loved, in the family she held close, and in the many simple acts of love that defined her life.
The family will welcome friends for visitation on WEDNESDAY, October 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio, 43162. A Private family burial will follow.
