Paul Dean Faust

Paul Dean Faust, (Dad, Grandfather, Uncle, Papa, Gramps, Friend) age 89, a life-long resident of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed on to his lord on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, after a brief illness.  Born in Allen County, Ohio, to the late Marcel and Donald Faust, he moved to the West Jefferson area in the 1950s. As a youth, Paul excelled as an athlete. He attended college at Ohio State but was called to duty during the Korean War where he showed his athletic abilities and played basketball for the Army during his stint of service. Upon returning home, he worked for North American Aviation, BMV, West Jefferson Police and Fire Department, and ultimately at Battle Memorial Institute where he found his life’s career.  Paul was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed taking friends and family to Battle Lake as well as yearly trips to Tennessee and winter fishing at Lake Erie.  In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by the mother of his children Emma Jo Faust, his brothers Dale and Jack, sister Marilyn Boucher, and lifelong friend Donna Ater. Paul is survived by his children: Tony (Kelly), Lou Ann Mast (Andy), and Tim (Julie), his grandchildren: Tyler, Lauren, Matt, Sarah, Jeremy, Lindsay, and Brian, several great-grandchildren, and Patsy Capuano, just one of his many special nieces.  Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.  Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH, funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Burial with military honors will follow at Hampton Cemetery in West Jefferson.  Please visit www.radermcdonaldtiddfuneralhome.com to share your favorite memories of Paul and to send your condolences to the Faust family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Paul's name to WJYAA, PO Box 305, West Jefferson, OH, 43162
