Rebecca Susan Baker

Rebecca “Becky” Susan Baker died on Friday, December 31, 2021. She was born April 11, 1945, to the late Robert W. Orr, Sr and Mary Jean Orr in Zanesville, Ohio.  She was a graduate of Zanesville High School and Grant Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a highly trained registered nurse who worked in a variety of settings from surgery to geriatric care. She was co-owner and president of Total Resident Care Consultants for many years.  She retired from Heritage Tower as Clinic Director.  Most of all she was a proud mother, grandmother, and Gigi.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rev. Larry D. Baker as well as her two children, Ross A. (Shelly) Baker and Rachel A. (Corey Rose) Baker.  She has two grandchildren, Caleb A. (Rachel) Baker and Jessica E. (Nick Daum) Baker as well as a great-granddaughter, Sophia A. Baker.  Also, surviving are brothers, Robert W. Orr, Jr and Raymond W. (Lois) Orr; sister Nancy L. (Andy)Gardner; sisters-in-law, Glenda L. Baker, and Beverly S. Baker.   She has numerous nieces and nephews, Gretchen L. (Paul) Baptie, Erin M. (Jake) Clark, Chad M. James, Zachary A. (Wendy) Gardner, Christopher R. (Stacy) Orr, Jeffrey B. (Sarah) Orr; great-nieces and nephews, Gary P. and Samuel D.  Baptie, Christopher R. and Catherine D. Orr and Izabella R. Orr; as well as several “adopted children and grandchildren”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Jean Orr; father and mother-in-law, Wayne and Esther Mae Baker; brothers-in-law Gary W. Baker and David A. Baker.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD Funeral Home, 1355 W. MAIN STREET, WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 7, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 55 Pasadena Ave., Columbus, OH, 43228, with Rev. Dr. Jim Wilson presiding.
