Richard M. ”Dick” Young, age 91, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away at home on Friday, July 30, 2021. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was a 1948 graduate of Columbus West High School. Dick was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was the founder and President of Capital City Builders before his retirement in 2000. Dick and his wife Winnie were faithful parishioners of SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in West Jefferson, Ohio. He is survived by his beloved, “wonderful” wife Winnie and his many nieces and nephews; also surviving are his sons Rick (Joann) Young and Randy Young, his granddaughters Amber, Ashley, April and Rita, and their families, cousins Theresa MacDonald and Linda (Ed) Flowers, his “heart daughter” Sue Iams and his best friend Skip Edwards. Family will welcome friends from 5:00-7:00p.m. TUESDAY at SS. SIMON AND JUDE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 9350 High Free Pike, West Jefferson, OH 43162. (Rosary at 6:45p.m.) and where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30a.m. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2021 with The Reverend Dwayne McNew and The Reverend Dan Millisor, con-Celebrants.
