Seth Richard "Dick" Riggle

Seth Richard “Dick” Riggle, age 86, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away at home on Monday, June 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 11, 1937 in Athens, Ohio, to the late Harry Riggle and Mary Virginia Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Harry Eugene, Robert Lewis, and William Asa Riggle. He was raised in Athens, Ohio, after graduating from Athens High School and then enlisted in the Air Force. He went to work at North American Rockwell as an electronic technician, later transferred to Cape Canaveral Florida to work on the Apollo program. Dick’s two favorite hobbies were Geography and the study of the Universe; he also loved tinkering with cars.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Rita Riggle; son: Scot (Terri Jo) Riggle, and daughter: Kim (Mike) Hahn; grandchildren: Skylar (Rachel) Riggle, Rachel (Caleb) Baker, Madison (Jeremiah Palmer) Hahn, Zachary Hahn; great-grandchildren: Seth Riggle, Sophia, and Ella Baker; and many loving family and friends.  

The family will welcome friends on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN STREET, WEST JEFFERSON, Ohio, 43162. Entombment Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
