Sharon K. Schenk

Sharon K. (Shepherd) Schenk, age 77, of Marion, Ohio, formerly a resident of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023.  Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Jennie & Marvin Shepherd, Sharon was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1963.  A Registered Nurse, she started her career at Doctor’s West Hospital in 1966 and concluded it at Marion General Hospital after nearly 35 years of service.  Sharon was a member of Marion Emmanuel Lutheran Church and also enjoyed meeting with her former colleagues in the nursing profession.  Sharon loved reuniting with her fellow classmates at their annual luncheons and reunions.  In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward Schenk.  She is survived by her sister Nancy Smith, her three children Deborah (William) Holton, Kris Schenk and Brian (Rose) Schenk, her grandchildren: Taylor (Cheri’) Baer, Talen Holton, Kaden Schenk, Madisen Schenk, Halli Schenk and Elliana Schenk, her brother-in-law Charles “Chuck” Kahlert and many cousins.  Family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. FRIDAY, MAY 5, 2023 at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 (614)-879-9222 where her Funeral Service will follow the visitation hours and begin at 1:00p.m. FRIDAY.  Pastor Gregory B.
