Shelva J. Work

Shelva J. Work, age 88, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Born May 12, 1938, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Emerson and Leila Harlow. Shelva was a graduate of Columbus West High School, Class of January 1956. She retired from Ranco after 18 years of being a payroll supervisor. She was a longtime member of the Hilliard United Methodist Church, and a member of the Worthington Chapter #287, Order of the Eastern Star. 

In addition to her parents, Shelva was also preceded in death by her sister Barbara Hartranft. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Lawrence Work. She is also survived by her daughter Joan (Richard) Dickerson, her son Robert (Christina Stahl) Work, her grandchildren Abby (Joseph) DeLuca, Connor (Ashley) Dickerson, Marcus Work, and Madeline Work, and her Great-Grandson James DeLuca, and many friends. 

Family will receive friends from 12-1pm., on MONDAY, July 6, 2026, at RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, OH, 43162, where her Funeral Service will follow her visitation and begin at 1:00pm, MONDAY, with Rev. April Blaine officiating. Shelva will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery immediately after the service.
