Simone J. Devors

Simone “Frenchie” Devors, 84, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, in West Jefferson, Ohio. Born on February 2, 1941, in Paris, France. Simone lived a full and vibrant life with compassion, generosity, and a warm sense of humor. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cooking hearty meals, quilting, tending to her garden, and reading. 

Simone was a loving mother, leaving behind 4 daughters: Sylvia Yocum, Cathie Toppins, Christina Willison, and Sheri Ertuncay, and 1 son, Daniel Nugeness. Her legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She held each generation close to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Devors, son David Nugeness, and granddaughter, Brittany Nugeness.

Simone’s memory will live on in the lives she touched with her kindness and laughter. May her legacy bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

Cremation has taken place there will be no formal services.
