Violet M. Jester, age 90 of West Jefferson passed away at Arbors West Nursing Home, with her loving family at her side, June 13, 2017.

She is proceeded in death by her parents George and Marvetta Buck, her loving husband Wayne Eugene Jester, her daughter and son in-law Roxanne (Jim) Doherty, her son and daughter in-law Wayne Jr. (JoKay) Jester, her granddaughter Erin Noel and her sisters Martha M. Grooms and Betty Jane Buck.

She is survived by grandchildren, Chris (Jennifer) Doherty, Jim (Jennifer) Doherty and Rhonda Jester. Violet is also survived by her great grandchildren Chance, Shoshone, Joshua, Joey, Shilia, and Kyle.

Violet loved to travel and go camping with her family. She was a bingo enthusiast and she loved to yell BINGO! She loved her family and grandkids unconditionally and with-out reserve. Her legacy is one of beauty and charm. One thing for sure you never left grandma's house hungry.

She was kind to all who shared in her presence and her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family would like to give a heart felt Thank You to Arbors West Nursing Home for loving her as your family for the last 17 years and to Vitas Hospice and their Chaplin. It is love that makes a place a home and for that the family Thanks you.

In honoring Violet's wishes there will be no visitation and cremation has been scheduled. A private family burial of her ashes will take place at a later date. Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home 1355 West Main St., West Jefferson, is honored to serve the family of Violet Jester.
